Batavia Community Chest / Batavia United Way

$65,000

The Dunham Fund is partnering with Batavia United Way’s Batavia Community Chest with a $65,000 grant, paid over 3 years, to launch a 211 service. By calling 211, local residents can directly connect with the right non-emergency services and information without burdening 911 operators.

The 211 services will offer live 24/7 personal assistance and provide a comprehensive database of information to help citizens navigate community services, serving as a reliable point of contact for non-emergency services. This grant will help Batavia United Way contract with PATH Crisis Center in Bloomington, IL to acquire the necessary 211 certifications and training.

The 211 service will be available 24/7/365 and help meet various essential community needs through live operators.
