October 18, 2016. This presentation is part
of Aurora University’s 2016-17 Arts and Ideas series, offered by the
university as a public service to the Greater Aurora community.
Friedman is the winner of three Pulitzer Prizes and has covered significant
stories from around the globe for The New York Times since 1981. Vanity Fair
called him “the country’s best newspaper columnist.” He is the author of “The
World is Flat”, “From Beirut to Jerusalem” and “Thank You For Being Late: How
to Find a Job, Run a Country and Keep Your Head in an Age of Acceleration”. Ranked
#2 on The Wall Street Journal’s list of “influential business
thinkers,” named to the 2011 Thinkers50 and the 2013 list of Foreign
Policy’s Top Global Thinkers, and considered one of “America’s Best Leaders” by
US News & World Report, Friedman is a frequent guest on programs such as
“Meet The Press,” “Morning Joe” and “Charlie Rose.”
